Me too, Me too!

I am diving into the wedding world in 25 days. My first of two weddings on my books. I would LOVE to build up this portion of my business, and ALL of my business. I really have a hard time with the business side of things and would LOVE to learn more, and I’ve heard terrific things about this book!

Gielle K. - February 9, 2011 - 8:35 PM

Wow, this must be an amazing, inspirational book. I just bought my first SLR. I had not lived until I experienced how photography captures life. Now I love photography, look at blogs, and capture myself. I’m trying to learn everything I can about it. I believe that reading this book may possibly broaden my vision and help me in finding a way to capture those perfect moments in life. How could this book not help me? It’s worth a try! :)

Ariana - February 9, 2011 - 1:09 PM

Where to begin…I’m currently a student working on my B.A…I don’t own a camera, nor do I know what the future holds, what I do know is that I love phototgraphy like you would not believe. All I do is follow blogs, but in my mind and soul I know that this is what I will be doing in the future…If you believe that the book offers a good read and much more then I would love to own it…

jen k. - February 9, 2011 - 12:27 PM

Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog while researching workshops in Portland. I have had a fire burning in me over this last year to really pursue photography and have been throwing myself into learning as much as I can. I already have 3 weddings booked for the summer and I need to learn so much! I will read anything and everything with a good recommendation!

Donna Butler - February 9, 2011 - 9:39 AM

I am a portrait photographer entering the world of wedding photographer and NEED a book to get me going quickly. I am indeed on a fast track and would appreciate all the help, encouragement, inspiration and knowledge I can get. Thanks for doing this!!!

Justine - February 8, 2011 - 11:15 PM

Where to start… I’m super new to the photog world although I have been around it for a few years now… it’s a totally new experience when you are the one with camera in hand and clients looking at you for direction and inspiration during their photo shoot… I have heard so many great things from both you and Holli about Dane and would love to get to know him first hand, through his book:) and I love to read… giving me a book is like giving a kid candy- seriously.
Love you lady:)

Vivianna Rachael - February 8, 2011 - 6:24 PM

Pretty much i want to give new home to the book if i am given the opportunity but that’s not possible…. I am living milestone away – heard of a small Island of Labuan, located at the east Malaysia? That’s where I am currently….

My hubby and I both working together as a wedding photographer here. We have been looking up high and low for this book in our local bookstore – even at the near by state, but we coudln’t find – it’s not easy to get photography book here :-(

Happy clicking peeps. Have a great day all!

Cheeers,
Viv

i’d love his book to read as i get ready to kick off my 2011 wedding season….i’m in the midst of making change to my business, myself, my relationship with the Lord. and i’m eager to get my hands on anything i can to make me a better ME!

thank you so much for your inspiration on this bloggy!!

Kara Abbey - February 8, 2011 - 2:10 PM

I have heard about this book from soo many people – and I would looove to get my hands on it to see for myself how wonderful it is ! Plus – I’m really at a loss for how to grow my photography business, I know some photographers [some of which are good friends of mine] but when I look at their business and the way they do things, I see old-fashioned stuff and I know I want something new and unique – I’m just not exactly sure how to DO that :) And I believe Dane is da man to see about those things :) So now, even if I don’t win this copy, I think I just talked myself into getting this book regardless :P

Katie - February 8, 2011 - 1:58 PM

I have heard such great things about this book and it’s actually on my to-read list. I just haven’t gotten a copy of it yet! As a budding photographer coming upon my first wedding as the main photographer, I definitely could use the inspiration on where to go from here. I think the biggest thing that I have issues with right now is my confidence. It stems from a long life of not feeling comfortable in my own skin, but I am getting there. A photographer friend of mine was the one who suggested this book as something for me to read to continue to grow in my confidence of my work…and myself.

Emily - February 8, 2011 - 1:06 PM

My husband and I are on a whirlwind photography adventure together. We’ve recently started our business and it’s growing like crazy. BUT, we want to do things the right way, so I would love the advice of those who know better than I. :)

Colette Hörter - February 8, 2011 - 12:44 PM

I am at a cross-roads right now and really need a positive push in my photography business. I have been doing my photography part time, while having a day job. I love the photography, it makes me happy and I really want to take the leap to go full hog into it so I could really do with a push in the right direction. . pretty please can I have it!!!! :-)

april russell - February 8, 2011 - 12:39 PM

This girl needs that change! Would love to learn more about being a better person and leader for my business!

Jen Davis - February 8, 2011 - 11:57 AM

I am at the very beginning of my business venture. Afaid to take the leap. I need a little (or maybe big) push. My husband has complete confidence in what I do. I am just not sure my self. I have take a few portrait sessions and I have had inquiries about wedding photography. At this point I am a sponge. I am always serching the internet looking for more information. I would love to learn more from this book.

Angela Chenoweth - February 8, 2011 - 11:15 AM

I think you know why I need this book, hahaha. But seriously I feel like at this time in my business I could use all the inspriation and help I can get. I am continually searching for who I am and what my photography says about me. I feel with your help I am finally moving in the right direction and that perhaps some inspiration and motivation from the book would only enhance the whole process of transformation I am currently going through. I would love to get the opportunity to meet Dane through his book and learn even more about the photography industry and how to navigate my way through it and life. Thank you Karen for always sharing your wonderful encouragement and “diamonds” with us. You truly are a blessing.

Eva Marina - February 8, 2011 - 10:18 AM

My business never really took off the way I envisioned it. I understand now, there are things I need to change. I just had a baby and I’ve decided to use my maternity leave to revamp everything! This book is just what I need, perfect timing. Thanks for your generosity, your blog is always inspirational.

teresa b - February 8, 2011 - 10:03 AM

Hoping the book could help me with direction, inspiration and motivation. Trying to find my way in this world with my camera and love for photography!

Heather Corporan - February 8, 2011 - 10:02 AM

I’ve heard alot of great reviews on this book from industry leading photogs. And here, yet another great review : ) I could sure use some MAJOR inspiration in the area of following my dreams towards becoming a ‘real’ photographer and what that actually looks like/means. But mostly just the idea of a ‘mindset shift’ – now that is beyound necessary for where I am personally right now. Isaiah 40:31 Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. I’ve been meditating on this scripture day and night. But hearing THOSE words (mindset shift) just turned a light on in my head. Thanks Karen!
